Père David's deer enclosure
Père David's deer (milu) is one of the rarest deer species in the world. Native to the marshy plains of China, it became completely extinct in the wild and survived only thanks to a single herd on an English estate; it has since been returned to China. The Chinese call it the "four unlikes": the antlers of a deer, the hooves of a cow, the neck of a camel and the tail of a donkey. It loves water and wades through marshes.
